Clinical Applications Specialist - Vascular Medicine

Salary: to £60K basic plus commission plus car allowance
Location: London - M4 Corridor including Kent

Clinical Support Specialist – Vascular Basic ~£60,000 per annum + bonus and car allowance Ideal location – London – M4 Corridor A truly superb opportunity for a clinical specialist to join an innovative medical devices company operating in the vascular field of surgery. Roles within this company do not present that often and this presents an opportunity for either a person who has worked within the Medical Devices industry for some years supporting clinical cases in the Operating Theatres or it would also suit a healthcare professional; Radiographer, Vascular Nurse, other Vascular Clinician who is looking to move away from the constraints of the NHS and broaden his/her career and work for a private organisation. These devices are at the cutting edge of technology and are classified as disruptive surgical devices naturally they are implantable. If you are of smart appearance and possess a “can do” attitude, enjoy meeting people and presenting to groups of people and you are very comfortable within the Operating Theatre (OR) environment this will be an opportunity you will not want to miss. Your role will be to work closely with the business development manager on this territory supporting the business from a clinical perspective. This is not a sales role however it is important that you have good business acumen. You will be competent when reading and presenting clinical papers to clinicians and you will be happy when presenting financial information to your audience. You will have an air of authority and confidence without being arrogant. You will be involved with speaking with Consultant Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists and planning for cases ensuring that everything is in place prior to the patient’s arrival. The implant technique is technical and whilst you will be provided with very good product and implant procedural training, it is important that you have a good understanding of anatomy and physiology and are able to learn new information quickly. We envisage this role as being a fabulous opportunity to broaden your vascular clinical knowledge and you could progress your career down the product manager route if you so chose. The territory of this role is large geographically and whilst there are key accounts around London and the Home Counties it may be necessary for you to travel to support cases further afield; throughout the Southwest and South Wales and South Coast and Kent so you will have the ability to travel and at often short notice. In summary ideally we are looking for: Three years of vascular interventional experience in the operating theatre or cath lab or specials lab environment. Preferably two years clinical support experience – this would be advantageous. You will be trained however the ability to read CT scans and understand Angiograms will be a distinct advantage. Send your CV today – Interviews are being arranged shortly.
