INTERNATIONAL PATIENT BUSINESS MANAGER £30,000 - £38,000 South Wales This is a very exciting NEWLY CREATED ROLE and may appeal to you if you have a “hospitality” background as well as having very strong financial business acumen and organizational skills. Our client is a very well respected private healthcare provider and is looking to appoint a person to manage a new service that will be offered to their International Clients. This role promises to be exciting, challenging and varied. You will maintain strong liaison between external stakeholders and internal stakeholders; much of your communications being with clinical leads and heads of medical departments as well as with in-country overseas officials and associated agencies. An important aspect of this role will be negotiating competitive prices from your suppliers. Managing International patient referrals you will be responsible for providing the administrative and liaison service to the Patients, Consultants and Embassies to facilitate the overall care of International Patients. You will be responsible for all aspects of referral pricing including any supplementary services such as accommodation and transport and you will need to ensure that all Hospital services are included and required margins are met. You will be relied upon to write the protocols and procedures for this department and implement and continually review a robust quotation process. You will work closely with your patient referral coordinator. You will need to possess tact and diplomacy and be able to engage with clients quite possibly from different cultural backgrounds. You will be responsible for dealing with overseas patients with respect to their day to day needs and requirements and those of their families if accompanying them throughout their Hospital stay. Another aspect of this role will be to assist the marketing department with marketing material; this may be marketing literature or promotional material, you will also be required to attend promotional events. This is a very important position for our client and a superb opportunity for you to put your stamp on this role and make it your own. It is essential that you can maintain confidentiality at all times and provide accurate and detailed information on request. Also imperative is that you stay up to date with the services provided by the Hospital and maintain databases and pricing structures accordingly, continually being aware of improving marketing tools. The ability to manage relations with stakeholders from all levels is essential and to work with International Clients. You will be comfortable when working under pressure and be able to resolve queries in a timely and confident manner. Your organizational skills will be second to none and you will think on your feet.
