Lead Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse Private Hospital – South Wales £££ highly competitive and negotiable plus benefits Are you currently working within Operating Theatres for the NHS and frustrated by the situation in the NHS currently? Do you feel that you are under valued? Do you have to work long hours? We are working with a leading private Hospital in South Wales; one that is expanding and we are therefore looking for your experience in Operating Theatres. You will report to the Director of Clinical Operations ultimately and you will enjoy a cohesive and friendly team of colleagues. The working environment within this Hospital, as you would expect, is superb. The role will necessitate that you work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and you will be asked to monitor and maintain excellent clinical standards of practice and staff development. Our client is very proactive in the provision of continuous professional development therefore it is important that you are keen to continue to learn and grow. Part of your responsibilities will be to ensure that the right mix of personnel is on duty in theatres to meet needs of the surgical procedures booked therefore you will have experience of planning working rotas. You will also be heavily involved with your team’s training and development and act as a mentor for your team. The ethos of our client is that the patient always comes first, nothing should compromise the quality of care delivered to patients, the Hospital is well known for providing an excellent quality of care and patient service. You will be involved with patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care and you will ensure that theatre documentation is maintained to the high standards set by the Hospital. Your role be very varied and provide you with exciting challenges; you will participate in conducting clinical audit, provide a holistic approach to patient care using research and evidence based practice. You will participate in the Hospital’s framework of clinical governance within the department area and identify and report any clinical risks to the Theatre Manager. It is important that you are a good team player and that you are also able to delegate to members of personnel. You will have good business acumen also and will happily work with departments such as procurement to ensure effective use of resources and adequate stock levels. You will be expected to make sure that your team has a real voice in the development of the Theatre Service to patients.
